How this build came together
When Dennis and Sharon first reached out to Kiadom Homes back in 2015, they had a bold initial plan: build a new porte-cochere carport, expand their existing two-car footprint into a four-car garage, and add a modern secondary dwelling directly on top. We hit it off immediately, laying the groundwork for a project—and a relationship—that would span the next decade.
Over the years, our partnership with Dennis and Sharon evolved into a complete home transformation. Rather than stopping at the initial extension, we continued working together on a series of tailored upgrades across the property, including comprehensive bathroom renovations, room redesigns, and architectural additions.
The true showstopper of the property is the custom wine cellar. Designed as a cozy, rustic retreat, it features detailed hand-laid stonework, authentic reclaimed timbering, built-in barrel storage, and an ambient fireplace. The level of craftsmanship throughout the home earned top honors at the HIA Housing Awards (Gold Coast & Northern Rivers), taking home wins for both Trade Workmanship and Best Renovation.
Bringing Dennis’s ambitious ideas to life wasn't without its technical challenges, but close collaboration and transparent communication ensured every obstacle turned into a custom solution. Ten years on, Dennis and Sharon have an extraordinary, multi-award-winning home that reflects their vision down to the finest detail.
